Bonzo Scalliacci is a man that comes from Italy, he was born 18 years ago. But, is he real or is he a figment of the imagination?
Is Bonzo really a young man, or has he been in this world for longer — much longer. Or, perhaps he’s been in this world before. Before his parents, before even his grandparents. Some even say he’s not from this world at all, what is it about him that makes them think that he’s from a world very far from our own.
Bonzo was born, or so we think, in the small Italian village of Oliveto, located in the hills 10 miles north-east of Sorrento. Little is know of his parents and little is known about his travels in the first 10 years of his life.
If you were to ask him of his first memories, he would talk to you about high, snow-capped mountains. He’d describe drinking the clear, ice-cold water, that cascaded between rocks. How he would run, full speed down the grassy hills to his small wooden house on the hillside.
But these were not the hills and mountains of Italy. If not Italy, where? He knows not where. All he know about those times are snippets of memories. There are no other people in those memories and there are no clues that connect him to his later life.
